Low-cost spay and neuter program available

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — White County Animal Control Services announces a low cost spay/neuter program available to the public. The program started on Nov. 1

David Murphy, White County Public Safety Director said; “White County Animal Control Services is pleased to be the recipient of a grant from the State of Georgia, Department of Agriculture.  This grant is to assist low-income families with the costs associated with spay/neuter surgery for their pets.”

Approved applicants will be required to pay $20 towards the surgery and will receive a voucher to be presented at Chestatee Veterinarian for the balance of the surgery. Additional costs, pain medications, shots, etc. are the responsibility of the pet owner.
