Following Mr. Bishop’s tragic death in an automobile accident in 1979, Mrs. Bishop worked a few more years, and then began a life of world travel and tournament bridge competition. She and her beloved Lake Capri neighbor and traveling companion Melba Bessinger toured almost every country in Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand.
