Board of Commissioners called meeting set for Thursday

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — County Commissioners will discuss their recommendations for  spring and summer road projects when the Board of Commissioners holds a rare called meeting Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the County Administration Building, 1235 Helen Highway in Cleveland.

There will also be a discussion regarding the future operations of the pool at the White County Recreation Department and options for a splash pad installation.

The Board will also consider a series of land use applications, including:

  • Jaime Mok Calle’s request for a conditional use permit (CUP) on 2.77 acres at 1788 Thomas Road in Cleveland to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
  • Adair Martin’s request for a conditional use permit on .565 acres at 8 Center Baptist Church Loop in Helen to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
  • Lisa McWilliams’ request for a conditional use permit on 1.37 acres at 291 Cindy Cove in Cleveland, to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
  • Madhav Mehra’s request on behalf of Ki and Ka Entertainment request for a conditional use permit on 3.72 acres at 811 Hooper Road in Cleveland to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
  • Jebadiah Moulton’s request for a conditional use permit on 2 acres at 113 EB Road in Cleveland to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
  • Karen Perrie’s request for a conditional use permit on 1.27 acres at24 Wolf Howl Trail in Sautee Nacoochee to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
