Board will make mid-year board appointments Monday

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. –Mid-year board appointments will consume much of the agenda when the Board of Commissioners meets Monday at 4:30 pm in the County Administration Building.
The appointments include:
- A member of the Alcohol Beverage Commission;
- A member of the Board of Elections and Registrations;
- A member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors;
- A member of the CVB Board of Directors;
- A member of the DFACS Board:
- A private sector representative to the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Council;
- Two members to the Planning Commission;
- Two members of the Water Authority Board, one who will represent the Upper Chattahoochee River, Soil and Water Conservation District and one who will represent the general public.
Under New Business, the Board will consider:
- A proposal from Northeast Georgia Physicians Group for continuation of emergency medical services (EMS) for White County;
- Renewal of the Property and Liability Insurance with ACCG-IRMA for 2022-2023
- A proposal by Eagleview Technologies for aerial photography services;
- Approval of the Enotah Judicial Circuit budget for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 to include circuit paid expenses for Superior Court, Juvenile Court, District Attorney’s Office and the Public Defender.
Additionally, Parks and Recreation Director Kimberly McEntire will present design options for the county’s proposed splash pad.
Board of Commissioners called meeting set for Thursday

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — County Commissioners will discuss their recommendations for spring and summer road projects when the Board of Commissioners holds a rare called meeting Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the County Administration Building, 1235 Helen Highway in Cleveland.
There will also be a discussion regarding the future operations of the pool at the White County Recreation Department and options for a splash pad installation.
The Board will also consider a series of land use applications, including:
- Jaime Mok Calle’s request for a conditional use permit (CUP) on 2.77 acres at 1788 Thomas Road in Cleveland to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
- Adair Martin’s request for a conditional use permit on .565 acres at 8 Center Baptist Church Loop in Helen to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
- Lisa McWilliams’ request for a conditional use permit on 1.37 acres at 291 Cindy Cove in Cleveland, to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
- Madhav Mehra’s request on behalf of Ki and Ka Entertainment request for a conditional use permit on 3.72 acres at 811 Hooper Road in Cleveland to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
- Jebadiah Moulton’s request for a conditional use permit on 2 acres at 113 EB Road in Cleveland to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
- Karen Perrie’s request for a conditional use permit on 1.27 acres at24 Wolf Howl Trail in Sautee Nacoochee to be placed in the County’s short-term rental program;
