Board of Commissioners to hold called meeting Tuesday

CLEVELAND, Ga. – The White County Board of Commissioners will hold a called meeting Tuesday (Dec. 17) at 8 a.m. in the County Administration Building, 1235 Helen Highway.

The Board will consider a request by Robert McClure for a conditional use permit at 1111 Satterfield Road in Cleveland to enter into the county’s short-term rental program.

Commissioners will consider re-evaluation of Robert Sloane’s request for grandfathered status of a short-term vacation rental located at 334 Alpine Drive in Sautee Nacoochee.

The Board is expected to vote on ratification of county resolution No. 2019-21 relative to final approval of local legislation to be submitted during the 2020 legislative session, creating a White County Board of Elections and Registration. Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) Manager Kevin Hamby will present the monthly SPLOST status report.

Commissioners will also hear a status report on the Yonah Preserve Playground Grant.
