Two White County Players Sign to Continue Their Playing Careers
Team FYN Sports, White County High School May 21, 2019
Two of White County High Schools top athletes have signed today, only three days away from their graduation.
Abby Taylor and Sawyer Loggins were the two athletes in the spotlight today. Abby signed on to play softball at South Georgia State, while Sawyer signed on to play at Shorter University. Both athletes spent all four years at high school playing their respective sports.
Abby spent her senior season as a catcher for the Lady Warriors, after playing multiple positions throughout her previous years. She gained lots of praise this season for being a leader on a team that had the majority of it composed of underclassmen. She will join a long list of White County softball players who have gone on to play in college in recent years, and she will be missed both on and off the field next season.
Just like Abby, Sawyer is yet another baseball player to take his talents on to college from White County. More often than not, he’s been on the mound for the Warriors throughout his tenure, and he’s consistently been one of the top pitchers in his region, along with being a solid hitter at the plate.
Congratulations to both players as they continue their playing careers.
