Who Decides Who and What is a Terrorist?
Opinion June 16, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
9/11, Boston marathon, Chattanooga, Ft. Hood, San Bernardino and now, Orlando, Fl., will forever be events etched into our history as Islamic attacks against Americans, American culture and American freedoms. The only question that remains is who will write that history and who will the writers deem to be be the terrorists?
The immediate reaction in the aftermath of the 9/11 incident was the almost immediate appearance and implementation of the Patriot Act. It provided a window for despots to start the ball rolling toward our total subjugation by the fascists who only want power and control. In our need to do something and feel safe, we acceded them that power but, we didn’t ask them how they intended to protect our Constitutional rights. They didn’t intend too! New data tells us the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held responsibility for 9/11. That was ignored. Why? Follow the money.
The National Defense Authorization Act, annually voted on by Congress to “protect us” also gives to the President and the Secretary of Homeland Security the arbitrary and extra-judicial, unconstitutional power to name, arrest, and imprison without trial, designated suspected terrorist organizations. Re-read the top line. Not one Islamic group has been hindered by that law, but Americas own Tea Parties, Oath Keepers, etc. etc & etc. are so designated and threatened and will sooner or later become targets of massive federal police attacks on the excuse of keeping America safe (from them not Islamists).
The Bundy Ranch and Burns, Oregon incidents were shocks to the establishment because they showed supreme resistance to illegal Federal aggression. The Feds temporarily suspended such overt public police actions but, it has intensified their absolute determination to remove our means of self defense by getting our guns. It will not happen without a fight and they know it.
Currently in the news is the issue of the Terrorist Watch List, also an extra-judicial, unconstitutional act that should not exist. It is a secret list. Why? We should demand it be published for all to see and know who the fascists say can and cannot own a gun. I want to know who’s on that list, for my own safety.
Terrorism is not the enemy, Islam is! They have declared war on America and are carrying it out. Obama, a crypto-muslim refuses to condemn let along recognize Islamic jihadists as terrorists. Islam is a religion of peace he say’s but the facts paint a different picture. For example, this item that didn’t make the news: ‘Islamic Refugee’ with Gas Pipeline Plans Arrested in New Mexico Border County.” Police in a U.S. town bordering Mexico have apprehended an undocumented, Middle Eastern woman in possession of the region’s gas pipeline plans. What could possibly go wrong? If she’s undocumented then she’s cannot possibly be a refugee, can she?
Or this one: “A (muslim) man is jailed on a charge of terroristic threat Wednesday after threatening to impose the death penalty on several people who refused to take copies of the Quran, Denton, Tx. police say. This happens every single day here in our American towns.
Obama said this a few days before the Islamic murders in Orlando: “The administration is deeply committed to the proposition that it would be wrong and harmful to identify the jihad threat for what it is.” In reality, its politically correct willful ignorance, hamstringing a proper analysis of the problem and endangering Americans.” So, who is the real enemy and who is the
terrorist? According to Obama, we are! Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (15 June 2016)
Orlando, FL, An Attack on Society
Opinion June 13, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
The jihadist attack in Orlando, Fl. was unspeakable for the breath of its devastation, but not senseless. Unspeakable because Americans just don’t do that sort of thing anymore but, not senseless because it was an act required by the Koran of all true believers. The attacker was indeed a true believer, a muslim jihadists. When and where such an independent attack occurs is not necessarily prescribed, it’s when any lone avenger of insults to Allah wants to do it. These people are not radicalized, they simply follow the Koran, where It is written!
The reaction of the American media to the fact the attack was specifically directed against homosexuals reveals that Jews are no longer God’s favored people, according to Liberals, homosexuals are! The role of Christians in our secular society no longer matters except as scapegoats to achieve moral equivalency with Islamic depredations. It is also important, for our own individual survival, to know the gay club was a “gun free zone!”
I read that the FBI “never guessed” a gay club would be a target of a Jihadist attack. Well, why not? It’s what they do. It’s demanded in the Qur’an. In their own Islamic countries homosexuals, if not burned to death, stoned or hanged are often precipitated from roof tops. Ouch!
How could a single Jihadist’s attack on a gay bar in a ‘gun free zone’ possibly come as a surprise to the FBI, especially after this wanna be Martyr, Omar Mateen, was twice investigated by the Bureau for radical statements and for making a pilgrimage to Mecca? Profiling perhaps?
The Liberal media, now in shock disbelief because a Muslim attacked one of the their favored class’s, has already started the propaganda argument of Moral Equivalency between the depredations of Islamic Jihadist, and the daily doses of Islamaphobic American Christians we see bullying and murdering muslims right here in the US.
But, as I scan the long list of deadly attacks on Americas city streets by adherents of any religious philosophy, I find one possible association by a white-male, possibly Christian, murdering, not muslim worshippers, but black Christian ones, in a church in Charleston, SC. But alas, he was a Democrat. So far, every armed attack in America by a person other than a professed muslim jihadist, was a registered Democrat, or his parents were registered Democrats, or they were mentally challenged. All of them!
For the uninformed the following short list of non muslim attacks may help: Columbine HS: both shooters were too young to vote but families of both were progressive liberals and registered Democrats. The Virginia Tech, shooter wrote hate mail to President Bush and was a registered Democrat. The Colorado theater shooter was a registered Democrat and a volunteer worker on Obama’s campaign. He was also an ”Occupy Wall Street participant and a progressive liberal. The school shooter in Connecticut, a lovely boy, hated Christians and was a registered Democrat. He murdered him mum as well. One wonders where liberals learn these skills?
Even earlier, the college professor who called himself the Unabomber, after being inspired by Al Gore’s book Earth in the Balance, was a registered Democrat as was Timothy McVey who so cleverly brought down the Oklahoma Federal building several years ago.
Clearly there are two classes of violent attackers here: Islamic Jihadist and Liberal Democrats. Perhaps Progressive Liberal Democrats should be registered and banned from gun ownership. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now go get ‘em! (6/13/ 16)
A Dark Future?
Opinion June 10, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
Does it occur to anyone exactly how corrupt, evil and destructive the Democrat Party is? The Republicans can’t hold a candle to the Democrats when it comes to sleaze and corruption and outright criminality. They’re close but they’re still penny-ante operators in a political exercise where only ripping your enemy’s throat out really counts.
Obama, with his pre-inditement endorsement of Hillary Clinton effectively negated Federal Law and relegated the stringent requirements for the safe guarding of classified documents to the dust bin. Government employee will no longer fear being charged with these types of crimes. They will be Oops moments! The gutless republicans have been afraid to impeach this wonder boy for eight years for his high crimes and misdemeanors and now, it’s too late!
Obama’s ‘legacy’ is toast if Hillary does not succeed him. Obama, in his endorsement said: “I don’t think there has been someone so qualified to hold this office. She has the “courage, compassion and heart” to be President. I have a clue for Mr. Obama. Courage, compassion and heart are remarkable on the battlefield or on the mean streets of decaying cities, but they’re not necessary traits required to be president as Obama himself has demonstrated over the years. As a flash back, Obama also said: “She’ll say anything and change nothing” (campaign, 2008).
The hapless Republican party, no match for the Democrats, has been content to lie to its constituents year after year after year, promising to fight for conservative principles, smaller government, reduce taxes, reduce spending and support for the military, then doing nothing for fear of offending Democrats by voting for all democrat programs. That’s why they’re in trouble now and that’s exactly why Donald Trump will be the next President.
The principles described above have precipitated our descent into total political corruption because politicians recognize that society is composed of two types of people, those who lust for power and control and those who just want to be left alone. Embedded within both of those classes, is a significant number who really don’t give a crap (criminal class), and a significant number who are so afraid of the future they will cling to any candidate who will promise them nirvana (Liberal educated class). We’re talking selecting our leaders by popularity contests here folks! To be a leader in our systems, both government and business, generally requires moving up through the ranks suborning ones own instincts, right or wrong, to the will of the organization. Both Obama and Clinton are exceptions. So will be Donald Trump.
None the less, “It would be remiss if we didn’t congratulate Hillary Clinton on winning her parties nomination and becoming the first female Democrat to run for the office of President (a mantle she wears loudly). Not only has she proven that women can ‘do the job’, but that they can be dishonest, criminally incompetent, and completely bereft of any sort of moral compass whatsoever. Thank you Hillary for proving that women can suck every bit as much as any garden variety bald white guy that’s been doing the job for the past 250 years (although that lady in Brazil could give her a run for her money). Hooray for ovaries in politics!”.. shared by permission, Mr. C.E. McClellan.
Hillary Clinton is a “Con artist” of the first order. She’s con’d the Arabs out of millions, Wall Street banks out of millions, universities out of thousands, and many of us out of our votes so she can continue to abuse the power she believes she’s entitled to simply because she’s a woman. She’ll expect us to believe that this will pass for freedom and democracy.
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (10 June 2016)
Evolution, Does it Work?
Opinion June 8, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
Political parties are incapable of independent evolution. They strive assiduously to defend themselves against all attempts through the process of natural selection, to change. Politicians are not the cleverest of God’s creatures, but nature, in her wisdom over the eons has created this species then that and if they don’t work out, destroys ‘em like a giant hand angrily sweeping chess pieces off a board. A few creatures may escape or attempt to adapt but, in the end, they are still made redundant. Except politicians. Their survival instincts are unique indeed.
The GOP, steadfastly reluctant to accept Donald Trumps as the Republican nominee, still find any excuse to distance themselves from his brash talk, his politically incorrect comments and his plans for where the country should be going. His simple slogan, “Make America Great Again” has captured the hearts and minds of us descendants from the “Greatest Generation” whose memories are still infused by the blood, sacrifice and tears of WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
The people no longer trust the GOP to do what’s right. The tawdry show they are putting on right now against Donald Trump proves that and yet they still manage to avoid their demise by natural selection. Somehow, they have convinced us to return them to office. That distrust includes their agenda, the same as proposed by House Speaker Ryan, because we have seen it all before and have been disappointed by the inability of the GOP to move it or even try to move it forward. Trump’s candidacy is a hostile takeover of the old ineffective GOP.
Speaker Ryan expects that Donald Trump should embrace the GOP agenda but here, I think, he is barking up the wrong tree because Mr. Trump probably has other ideas the does not included clasping hands across the aisle with the enemy. Mr. Ryan’s assumptions on how Donald Trump should behave underline a basic premise that is both mistaken and, so far, unremarked. He said as much in his halting acknowledgement of Donald Trumps ascendency with these words: “Trump must come to accept the Republican Agenda…” Oh, must he? Why?No one else does.
The GOP agenda, an ambitious, six-part plan to show voters the detailed plan he hopes will unite the party and create guidelines that Donald Trump may embrace, is old news. This quote from an aide intrigues me: “The issues included represent the areas of common ground the speaker has with Donald Trump and he is confident the plans House Republicans would pass in 2017 would be signed into law with a Trump White House.” He does, does he?
The first part of the plan addresses poverty and entitlements. We’ve been there, done that! Poverty has always been with us, will always be with us and will likely increase as Obama’s progressives continued to destroy America’s once productive middle-class work force with onerous taxes, overspending, enforced minimum wages and required unaffordable health care.
A half dozen GOP House committees worked for months to give speaker Ryan the first part of the plan which tackles poverty and ineffective welfare programs. Later the Speaker will introduce the GOP’s foreign policy scheme, hopefully to be followed by illegal Immigration, trade and, one would hope, balancing the budget, eliminating the current tax code and reducing spending, issues that divide the elites from the their base.
Where are the Tea Parties? Great principles will only carry their weight when associated with a movement of greater force. The GOP doesn’t have it. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (7June 2016)
What is Becoming of American Politics?
Opinion June 6, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
It would seem that only the most ruthless or the truly most criminal aspirants to power and control have the chutzpah to even want to run for President of the United States. Good people don’t run because they fear being criminalized by insinuation by a press no longer fairly fulfilling the role of the forth estate, a media firmly lodged in the folds of progressive liberalism.
Americans are now being plied with inimical foreign ideas and philosophies smugly introduced into a once democratic Republic as ideas comparable to our Constitution and rule of law, worthy of emulation and acceptance. Dissenter are quickly crucified on the public alter of humiliation as either homophobic, Islamaphobic, racist or bigoted. They are attacked by screaming mobs of educated illiterates from many walks of society. Trump resists.
This election year marks the beginning of a serious political realignment between new, very partisan coalitions who are determined they will decide whose ideas and beliefs they stand for, and the old guards who are lost in the fading antiquity of their prior existence and don’t know it.
They do it by no longer bothering to consult with the existing political parties who now find themselves lost and bewildered in jungle of competing factions all demanding some form of positive action while their own public platform has been snatched away from them. In the Republicans case, Donald Trump has inevitably changed the course of Republican campaigning attitudes, goals and outcomes.
The Democrats have reinvented their party like it came directly off the pages of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto. At their last national convention, they purposefully, intentionally abandoned God and bragged about it. A free criminal has demanded she be installed and anointed as their candidate simply because she is a woman and “isn’t it time for a woman to be President…?” Their party has embraced .03% of the population of sexual deviates, black lives matters activists and Muslims jihadists, as their standards of fairness and inclusion.
The Republicans still pledge allegiance to the flag and start all meetings, etc. with a prayer. But visible changes there can’t be ignored. How is it a Republican Governor, Georgia’s Nathan Deal, wouldn’t even make a quick fight from Atlanta to Augusta (Ga.) to speak to the state GOP party’s convention? Because, being a former Democrat, he still believes in the old ways. He vetoed several conservative bills so as not to offend progressives all in the name of fairness.
American politics are changing in profound and lasting ways. The old shibboleths, once never to be mentioned, like Social Security, illegal border crashers, welfare for all, are now being talked about. Warned against, but not discussed in detail by our old time politicians is the fact that America now spends more money than it takes in and our mediocre Republican congress, all of whom we just returned to have another go, still voted for more indebtedness to keep the happy ball rolling regardless of the inevitable oncoming economic collapse. Anarchy will soon follow.
Trump will be the Republican nominee. The question for the Republican Party now is, are they willing to rally around Trump, someone the people want, or return to the old economic policies of free trade, mass immigration and entitlement reform as the party’s main platform? If so, Trump will have to accept it. If the core of Republican voters reject that platform, Trump must continue to be his own man, set the goals he enlivened the base with and get the changes moving.
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (5 June 2016)
Moral Relativism
Opinion June 2, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
Listening to the various political radio talk show commentators, all conservatives of course because Liberal sites only last long enough to go bankrupt, it’s amusing to hear the liberal callers as they whine about moral relativism when defending Hillary or Bernie. At the moment the issues are really all Trump vs. Hillary. Bernie is nothing but a thorn in Hillary’s side.
What is happening, electorally, is a political earthquake of gigantic proportions, an event where the working middle class, what’s left of it, and the self-centered student class, losers, anarchists, and government dependents, are throwing off the shackles of political serfdom to an elite class that found the system so malleable that it became easy to enrich themselves from the public coffers. So, politically, a chasm exists between both party’s orthodoxy of the past two or so decades and the economic interests of today’s electorate. For both parties, that chasm between voters and the corruption of the political elites, at the moment, is falling in favor of the electorate.
For the Democrat party, that not too long ago shed the image of being old time racist Dixiecrats, Southern white males who ruled their regimes with unyielding power of authoritarianism that satisfied their close followers, the transition of that power to federal authority over the past five decades has changed the face of who’s is in charge or should be. It has shifted from white Southerners to Northern white Liberals besotted with the feel good ethics of moral relativism.
Basically, nobody really knows what they were talking about, especially the black race who by evidence of their continued votes for democrat candidates, still cling to the false hope of economic advancement by their masters, but only if allowed. The Democrat Party is still the party of slave masters. They just changed their uniform.
Hillary Clinton is possessed of none of the leadership traits of the old time Southern white male politicians. She does not have the skills to be a smooth talking white slave master or a political sugar daddy to her clingers-on. She is a screecher and an out and out money grubber. She’s in it for herself. It is one reason, Bernie Sanders has made her campaign such a mess.
The news focus is still on the clash between Hillary and Bernie. Campaigns by pre Bill Clinton Democrats, like Jim Webb for example, went nowhere fast. He lacked a constituency and found himself completely out of place among the other Democrat Socialist thinking politicians who early sought the 2016 Democratic nomination, but died aborning. Bernie Sanders, an avowed Socialist of the old school (think Commie), hangs in there like a bad case of acne claiming a moral relativism that appeals to the educated but still illiterate class.
So, what about the Republicans? Noting the early success of the changed Democrat Party, but lacking the killer infighting skills to combat the Democrats socialist programs, they took the path of least resistance thinking it best simply to “go along to get along”, all the while telling their constituencies how Conservative they really were. Boy, were we stupid letting it go so far. Then, along comes an alpha male, Donald Trump who eschews political correctness, says what’s on his mind, challenges the Liberal press on their lies, and stands for president sweeping all the “usual suspects” aside leaving the organized party, and its think-tank acolytes, in a near state of catatonic shock. Actually, it’s all morally relative. It’s who gets to dip in the coffers!
Sadly, for Georgians, our first real chance to prove that our fears were indeed grounded, we threw it away by returning virtually all the usual suspects to their incumbencies. Sad, very sad! Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (02 June 2016)
Defender of the Faith
Opinion June 1, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
I have no doubt that Mr. Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, is a good man, intelligent and well meaning, pure in his intentions, who loves America and little children. I also think he sees himself filling the titular role of the late Mr. Bill Buckley, the one and only original Mr. Conservative (except for Ronald Reagan of course), and true defender of the faith. Maybe!
Mr. Kristol stands adamantly opposed to the peoples choice and seeks to impose his own candidate on the people because he knows better than the sheep. The problem is, there is no other choice, all have been eliminated and besides, there is already a third party, the Libertarians who are mounting their own spoiler campaign.
Too, another problem for Mr. Kristol, is that he remains so convinced of his own omnipotence in conservative political thinking, that he recklessly proceeds without considering the awful ramifications his fourth party dream will achieve. His ideas, if enacted, are in danger of assuring the awful outcome so decried by us lesser individuals who are the fading GOP’s base that his intelligentsia class so thoroughly despises. Ouch!
Even in light of Trumps sweeping Republican delegate victory, long before the GOP convention where opposition could be organized to thwart him, Mr. Kristol performs as an avid, immovable, defender of the political status quo intent on installing his own version of a true conservative candidate against the wishes of the voters who have very clearly expressed their antipathy toward the Republican political governing class. He names no candidate yet to fill that role.
It cannot be a rehashed Jeb Bush or Ted Cruz and certainly not Mitt Romney…again, could it? Oh, its a David French. Who?
One wonders could Trump’s presidency affect Mr. Kristol’s future earning potential of his magazine? Maybe. No matter what we read, see or hear, or how any argument is phrased, you still follow the money! For the Weekly Standard, it’s life depends upon subscriptions from people who want to hear what the “real conservatives”, (i.e.: Weekly Standard staff), who believe they have the true measure of the American people, have to say.
Trumps early, stunning electoral victories have washed all that “we know what’s best for you” nonsense away, Mr. Kristol now finds himself, almost alone, struggling in a boat without an oar, against the inevitable force of the flowing tide of coming change. Mr. Kristol’s soul mate in this losing enterprise, Mr. Mitt Romney, former Governor, failed Presidential candidate and slobbering loser who pines for lost opportunities and clings to the remote notion of sweeping out of the convention wings to selflessly throw himself on the stage in front of the stacked convention masses pleading for him to save them. From what? Fat chance!
Listening to “the Donald” on the campaign trail knocking off the other contenders like ten pins, the talking heads, Kristol, et. al, firm in their beliefs that Trump would soon implode and be quickly swept off the stage so the grown ups could get on with the business of ruling, have made the greatest error of their careers. They actually believe themselves, not the evidence!
Many are now almost prostate with grief, seek their solace in terms of his qualifications. Trump is unqualified, an inarticulate boor, loud, politically incorrect and etc., etc., & etc. Well, Trump is a multibillionaire by his own effort, a showman with an Alpha personality and, more importantly, he is not soon to be interrogated by the FBI like somebody else we know.
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go et ‘em! (31 May 2016)
It’s Trump, Oh My!
Opinion May 26, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
It’s all over but the shouting. Trump has achieved the required 1237 delegates vote count and will be the GOP candidate for president. There will be no brokered convention, no behind the scene machinations to bring in Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney, no nothing! Oh my!
The GOP Establishment is opposed to Donald Trump. He’s a threat to their corrupt life style and now, they’ve run out of options. Either they embrace the candidate or they flock to Hillary only because they believe if in office, she will continue the big government depredations against the American people. Because Hillary is a part of the establishment nothing will change, they hope!
At this point, I believe the Democrat party is in deep turmoil. Clearly, because Obama has allowed the release of the State Depts. negative IG report on Hillary’s mishandling of classified documents, that constitutes tacit approval for her removal. I believe the next shoe to fall on Hillary’s head will be the FBI Investigation on her criminality. That will also expand to include her Clinton Crime Foundation schemes now under investigation for possible RICO violations. Oh my!
The vast wealth the Clinton’s have amassed while she was Secretary of State and since, from the Middle-East OPEC nations, Wall Street Financial Institutions and other sources seeking political favors when she would become president, are now additional objects of criminal inquiry that will adversely affect her candidacy as the anointed Democrat standard bearer.
Shakespeare said right: “Oh what tangled webs we weave when at first we practice to deceive.”
Hillary is now entangled in a web of her own lies: The State Dept., she said, allowed her to use her own private server. A lie! They didn’t. As a matter of fact, she was the State Dept. and they must operate on rules previously made that cannot be ignored, except by the Clinton’s of course. She knew the rules and continued to ignore them. After her server was hacked she was told to use the State Department server. She refused not wanting facts to surface that her efforts were solely to enrich the coffers of the Clinton Foundation, not to do her job as Secretary of State, a position she used as a vehicle only to enhance and enrich her Foundation.
As expected, Hillary blames the State Department for sloppy record-keeping, for not preserving her real time records. On CNN, her spokesman, Brian Fallon, said “the State Department’s system was in such disarray it thwarted Clinton’s effort to meet the standards under law for filing and saving her records.” What? The IG report simply said “she did not comply with the department’s policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act.” So, there we have it! What are the democrats to do?
Will Hillary bow out peacefully for the good of her party? Don’t count on it. Will the DNC National Chairman, Debbie Wassermann Schultz, put a word in her ear about saving the party? Don’t count on it! Will Bernie seize the initiative? He’ll certainly try! We can already hear the chairs falling over as democrats rush too repair the damage of having a criminal pre-selected as their presidential candidate. Oh my!
Look for poor ol’ uncle Joe Biden to come to the rescue. It will be his swan song, his last great act of public service, to throw himself on the flaming pyre of democrat dreams to rescue the drowning party from its inevitable fate – extinction. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (26 May 2016)
Diagnosing an Illness
Opinion May 23, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
Some well meaning blog writers on conservative subjects fail to grasp the true nature of America’s eclipse. They have bought into the left’s message that a good life through government assistance is possible. They compare the changes America is now experiencing to an aging process folks encounter as they grow older rather than the deliberate plan of a cynical wholesale change that it really is.
While diseases and illnesses eventually come to the human body over time, and always followed by death, it should not be extrapolated that a great, prosperous nation like America, displaying the symptoms of old age as humans do is, in effect, near the end of its life term.
America should last for the millennium as the one and only beacon of freedom to the world. It would if its enemies have not been allowed to penetrate it’s constitutional fortress and spread their cancerous disease as we now see happening.
Less than 240 years since our founding, America has become ill not because of old age, but because we’ve been told to abandon God, accept secular atheism, place our personal self-defense in government hands and trust our elected politicians to see to our wants and needs. In short, America has been injected with the cancer of socialism, to be followed soon by the disease of Islamic fascism and then, the disease of abject apathy. Do we even stand a chance?
As we grow older, groups like the AARP start filling our mail boxes, and email sites with a constant drum beat reminding us that we are aging. They tell us we’re getting old, that we need care and attention so that we can blissfully enter our golden years without worry to ourselves or our families. Oh yes, And, for only a few dollars a month they are prepared to help us to achieve this nirvana. They tell us, in soft pleasant tones, “you worked hard all your life and deserve to be helped in your old age, comfortably surrounded by family and friends, etc., etc. & etc.”
The Progressive-Socialists have constantly told us this same message about our nation, in need of remedial social changes that only they can bring if we would only abandon our backward beliefs in the greatness of God, the greatness of America, and reevaluate our moral standards that inhibit Americas deviates from living their lives without fear or conscience.
The Progressive-Socialists (Democrats) don’t talk about America the way we do. Instead they tell us that America is sick and can only be fixed with increased spending, more inclusiveness, less racism, free education, free food, free rent, job killing minimum wages, free birth control and, even more unaffordable, free education for all, especially including illegals.
Our youth are now being taught that white European Americans are to blame for the world’s problems and to see the progress of European culture as crimes against humanity that have adversely affected life’s bottom feeders liking them to life’s lottery losers who need to be protected from silly notions such as self reliance, personal independence and a faith in God.
Our illness is easily diagnosed. It’s the malise created by the corrupt political establishment in both parties. We have sat quietly while the political tools of greed and avarice have destroyed our nation. Trump has simply brought us a tremendous reality check. He has brought us our first hope of political redemption.
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (23 May 2016)
Impeachment(s)
Opinion May 22, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
I don’t mind giving kudos when they are deserved. In my last essay, I mentioned detecting some twitch of movement in what has long been considered an inert and moribund life form, the GOP congress.
Apparently, the House Oversight and Reform Committee, chaired by Jason Chaffetz, the House Freedom Caucus, chaired by Jim Jordan, and the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Bob Goodlatte, Republicans all, are deserving of support and encouragement because they are indeed commencing the process to impeach the corrupt IRS Director, John Koskinen for his contempt of Congress. It’s a good first step and about time too!
The House representatives mentioned above, believe they have a very good case that can proceed against the IRS director and, apparently, they have the gonads to do it. If they start the impeachment train moving against mere bureaucratic functionaries, like Koskinen, perhaps other Republican house committee chairmen may feel the urge to get involved and start the process of bringing down other of Obama’s socialists. How? By kicking out the leaders. More power to them. Socialism is not good for Americans. It’s not who we are!
Obama is a criminal. He ignores court orders against his despotic edicts; he expects his acolytes, like the young ignorant DoJ lawyers who lied to a Federal Judge in Texas, to purposely lie to judges to simply to advance his Progressive goals by edict. So far, a few Federal Judges who have not been corrupted, have thwarted many of Obama’s plans for the social re-engineering of our America, plans designed to legalize border crashers, deny Islamic Jihadists terrorism, release apprehended felons, create parity for the sicko transgender crowd, and to continue to separate our nation from its centuries held moral base of Judaeo-Christianity.
As conservative voters who make up the base of the Republican party, it apparently falls upon us to renew the pledges we have made to our country that affords all our citizens the right to prosper under the protection of its laws. We have seen the Progressive/Liberal movement over the past several decades, slowly erode away our great American values on the premise of fairness, multiculturalism, equality of outcomes, diversity of opinions (Liberal only), inclusiveness of all cultures no matter how backward they are, and other nameless acronyms of BS they can think up to blur our minds.
The head of the IRS is the first target for congressional removal, but hopefully, not the last. If Koskinen’s impeachment is actually accomplished, can we soon look forward to the impeachments of the heads of the EPA, DoEd, DoEnergy, DHS, HUD, etc., etc.,& etc.? One can only hope. Out here, in flyover land, the base conservative voters expect to see such GOP action against criminals to proceed apace with energy and enthusiasm; to do their job legally and kick the bums out. I should think, as individuals, each representative in danger of being faced with a primary challenge for his job, should view these actions as necessary to restore the long lost trust the GOP so desperately needs.
Trumps amazing ascendancy, and Bernie’s too for that matter, directly reflects the voters frustration over the course big government politicians have taken our once great country, into the odious far left field of absolutism. I for one no longer want to be governed by battalions of unelected bureaucrats supported by products of corrupted liberal law schools, appointed for life, as arbiters of the law while being encouraged to push the leftist agenda along.
Remember, Freedom is the goal, the Constitutions the way. Now, go get ‘em! (22 May 2016)
A Peril of Our Own Making
Opinion May 21, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
Our dilemma is trying to understand the how and why our constitutional republic does not function the way as was originally laid out in the US Constitution. The answer is that politicians have meddled with it at a time when no one was apparently looking.
First, the 16th amendment, ratified in 1913, establishing the income tax has turned out to be a candy dish for politicians to painlessly extract taxpayer funds for what ever use they wanted. Second, is the 17th Amendment, also ratified in 1913, that deprives the fifty states of real direct representation in Congress. Somebody thought Senators should be voted for directly like in popularity contestants, in effect becoming six year Representatives, not two year ones.
It didn’t take long for Congress to legally corrupt itself and start passing out legislative favors for money, so they could stay in office, while side tracking the individual states from participating in overall government as the 10th amendment once provided for. For the 10th amendment to work, the 16th and 17th amendments must be repealed.
Originally, Congress was the superior of the three branches of government simply because they had the citizens ear and the states concerns in mind. Indeed, the Speaker of the House is third in succession to be President of the US, on an accidental basis of course. The House is the only chamber of the three branches authorized to allocate money. The Senate, whose job was supposedly to represent the interests of their States, ratified house spending bills, or not. It was the Presidents job to say “Okay” or veto a bill if he didn’t like it. By a majority vote, the House could make the bill a law by overriding the veto. Other machinations can be used.
This current election process has become the vehicle for our education. By the Trump phenomena, we should be learning that the people (us sheep) don’t select the President, the political parties do, with ‘electors.’ Its always been like that and will continue to be so. Lastly, the Judicial branch, now formalized into near political efficiency. is a creation of the Executive and the States. It is apparently now, being created by crony favoritism, disregarding the law as it exists, substituting instead individual judges own feel good solutions to accommodate the weirdo’s, deviates, illegals, fraudsters, and social bottom feeders who think they need to be served and the rest of us should pay for it.
Once, all that worked well is now gone. In 1946 the Congress passed the Administrative Procedures Act which permits Federal agencies, created out of whole cloth, to make rules and regulations that carry the force of law, suppress our constitutional freedoms and threaten our personal security, without the authority or even knowledge of our Representatives.
It’s the little things that irk so much! Regulation of lawnmower emissions, prohibiting animal ponds on private property, stealing vast swaths of land from the states and forbidding use of it by the citizens without strict controls, changing our moral and social standards to accommodate a .03% of the country’s deviates so they can potty freely where they wish without getting the crap kicked out of them. Did I fail to add murdering babies for their body part? When do we say enough? When do we strike back, after it’s too late?
I have been down on the GOP for inaction. I now see some movement in a once lifeless form, the happy talk about impeaching the Director of the IRS. They can do that you know! If that dam of fear finally bursts, look out Feds., Look out Obama, and Eric Holder, go into hiding. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (21 May 2016)
Escaping the Sheepfold
Opinion May 18, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
The potential disaster for the GOP is already beginning to reveal itself. America is no longer government of the people, by the people, or for the people instead, it has become government of, by and for the politicians who believe it is their right to remain there, at least until they can achieve a comfortable retirement. That is sacrosanct!
Clearly, our system of government has altered our country from a Republic into a tawdry attempt at a dictatorship of the establishment subject to the co-dictatorship of an unelected Federal judiciary, including the SCOTUS, who happily legislates from the bench to enforce the establishment’s Progressive sociopolitical agenda on the nation. They are all wolves! We, apparently, are a nation of sheep and wolves do not concern themselves with the opinions of sheep!
The elites want our new state religion to be Atheistic Secularism, our national motto, In God We Trust to be, In Atheism We (must) Trust. To witness a political party, like the GOP, actually contribute through inaction, to the demise of world’s once only global superpower while China, Iran, North Korea and other tinhorn dictatorships ready themselves to pounce, is damn well scary and demands that the sheep get involved!
This election, at first sight, appeared to have been another exercise in the elites selection process of a hand picked moderate loser. The sheep were not motivated until Trump flashed on the scene and all but settled the matter on who would be the conservative presidential candidate. The GOP recklessly disregarded the grassroots and strove to nominate, not a new face, but a moderate face, one that wouldn’t frighten the sheep, no matter who wore it. They didn’t! Otherwise, this would have weakened the Republican Party by sheer apathy. Trump changed that, he has energized the base.
The arrogant GOP elites didn’t see it. At the next General election, the grassroots voters, basically, would not have voted for another party moderate. Without doubt, this voter apathy would have extended to our States GOP Senators and Representatives races, maybe even all the way into the local and state elections. There may be no Republican elite after a couple more election cycles. Hell, there may be no America either.
Elite enablers, like the cunning Karl Rove, the GOP’s so called “architect,” who speaks for the Republican Party, has gone missing. Since Trump can now all but claim the party’s candidacy, we hardly hear from him any more. One wonders what destructive plan he is hatching in the depths of his secret lair to defeat Trump? I would call it his bat cave but that would be unfair to Batman, wouldn’t it?
If Trump gets “Borked,” so to speak, and goes with a populist third party, most of the GOP’s base would go with him. Millions. The GOP’s arrogance toward its followers (sheep) had nearly reached the point of complete apathy. Trump has revived the GOP but they’re slow at accepting it. He’s got their measure. He say’s of them: “These are very stupid people.” Oh, he is so right! Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is there way. Now, go get ‘em! (18 May 2016)
Crisis Everywhere
Opinion May 15, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
Is the GOP in crisis? Yes, of course it is, but worse, so is America. The GOP’s crisis is called Donald Trump in whose hands potentially lies the salvation of an America quickly slipping away. America’s crisis is called the Democrat Party (Progressive socialists) which has worked fastidiously to denigrate, downgrade and outright trash the rule of law (the US Constitution), to be substituted by the knowledgable and learned input of the intellectual business and banking class who claim they know better how to govern the masses better then the masses can do themselves. Do not doubt them!
The GOP crisis, when this Trump shock phenomena finally fades out, is really nothing more than a needed adjustment to the political party that improperly calls itself “conservative.” Trump has redefined the word conservative and the voter base has latched on to it. Maybe he should rename it the America First Party.
Sadly, the posturing by the politically connected GOP elites, those that once said “#Never Trump,” are now falling all over themselves to get in line to kiss Trumps hand, like SC Senator Lindsay Graham. That is pitiful to behold. Even in defeat the GOP’s ruling class seems to show spinelessness in the face of reality. Or does it?
Perhaps this shameless fawning by GOP insider elites could be a cunning device to sideline Trump and make him their creature, usurp and nullify his Fair Tax plans, quash his immigration plans and readjust his foreign policy ideas so the crisis profiteers can continue making armaments and money. Then it would be back to business as usual.
Theoretically, the base would be pacified, for awhile, and the ruling class could get on with their task of ruling and re-entrenchment. Trump is a political outsider after all, unskilled in the fine art of political mischief and mayhem. But, beware, Trump is still an experienced fighter. Perhaps? We’ll know soon enough! Here’s my take: Do Trump supporters really want agreement with the GOP on the GOP’s terms? I don’t think so.
But, worrying so much about Trump takes our eyes off of keeping the US Senate. Losing that would be a crisis as the Progressives need only six seats to regain control of the Senate. They have targeted Illinois’s Mark Kirk, Ron Johnson of Wis., Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Ohio’s Rob Portman, Pat Toomey of Pa., and the now available seat of Marco Rubio of Florida. We also have three geriatric GOP Senators, McCain, 80, Richard Shelby, 82, and Chuck Grassley 83. All are apparently healthy men for their age but all are already politically fossilized by their overly long terms in office (a good argument for term limits). Democrats aren’t much better off. They need to save six key senatorial target seats themselves filled by weak incumbents.
Here in Georgia we have a Senatorial problem in Johnny Isakson who tells us he is facing the onset of Parkinson’s disease but will run again. Nonsense! He will assuredly resign, allow Gov. Deal to make an appointment, probably Jack Kingston, thus depriving the GOP voters of having a choice of who our next Senator should be. Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ‘em! (13 May 2016).
The GOP and The Donald
Opinion May 11, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
The GOP is finally realizing that Donald Trump will be the conservative party candidate. Meetings are scheduled between Trump, Speaker Paul Ryan and GOP Chairman, Reince Priebus, to try to convince Trump to become the Republican candidate. To do this, the GOP must persuade him to accept the GOP’s principles so the GOP, presumably, can support its unwanted, but none-the-less, inevitable standard bearer (insert gag reflex here), to defeat Hillary.
What Trump decides to do is unknown but I’ll take a WAG . Trump already knows what the American voters have known for awhile, that the GOP, as it currently stands, has no principles, and stands for nothing except maintaining their hold on power, promoting big banks, big business, big government and a new world order.
Trump is already big business so he can’t be all that impressed with the GOP’s desperate need to remain relevant. Trump knows how business works and in Republican hands, he knows that their principles of constant capitulation can never make America great again.
Trump holds the key to the GOP’s future, not this interloper, Paul Ryan from Wisconsin. Inevitably, the GOP will come over to Trump’s side and then we will see a shift in America’s direction back to the “right.” Trump, love or hate him, is not rigid in orthodoxy but triumphant in business. He has stepped forward to bring the status quo crashing down because he knows that American voters are disgusted with the supposedly “conservative party” constantly failing them, indeed actually promoting their own weakness in the face of true Americans values.
I suspect that Trump will be telling Ryan and Priebus what they will do. He could say “I won, you didn’t so I’ll set the parameters for moving forward. Either you come along with me or get off the stage.” Imagine what Trump could do if he decided at the convention that he had been shafted. Trump, with his millions of followers around the country, at the spur of the moment, could declare his position as a third party candidate and that would be the finish of the GOP.
I am reminded of the story of a linguistic competition. The questions was: “How does one explain the difference between Complete and Finished in a way that was easy to understand?” Most said there was no difference. Ah, but one competitor described the different this way: “When you marry the right woman, you are complete. When you marry the wrong woman, you are finished but if the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are completely finished!” That will be the complete finish of the GOP if they abandon Trump for a compliant lackey.
Who are the losers? The consulting class, the lobbyists, camp followers and hangers on. Karl Rove, crafty an operator as he is, leads the pack of the potentially unemployed. There is also a whole congress of representatives who can be added to that list. It’s simply a matter of voting them out when their time comes. It is the politicians who have ruined America and it is the politicians who refuse to correct their errors, blaming others instead.
In our own Congressional district, the incumbent can’t satisfactorily explain his vote for the Omnibus Spending Bill but attacks a challenger for alleged perfidies that never reached the level of a crime. Folks, listen to the facts, challenge their premises and vote the bums out.

There’s a Revolution Coming (if it hasn’t already started)
Opinion May 10, 2016
Opinion By George McClellan:
The media is trying to shape the news for us now that Donald Trump is the prospective GOP candidate. It’s probably time to completely turn off the TV news programs, including Fox News, and rest your minds for awhile secure in the knowledge that your are missing the left wings massive propaganda campaign against America’s middle class and its candidate.
Both Bush presidents, plus Jeb Bush, Michael Reagan and Mitt Romney have declared they will absent themselves from the GOP Convention in Cleveland. Probably a good idea because I have a feeling they are not welcomed anyway, at least by the GOP’s base voters. They’re old, out of date and out of ideas. Even the hopefully soon to be “Cantored” Paul Ryan, has agreed to step down as convention chairman if Trump should ask him. Is this an idle threat, an idle promise, or another example of GOP capitulation in the face of a stronger force?
It has been fun watching the entitled (they think) GOP political class disintegrate into hysteria and retreat in confusion all the while shouting threats and predictions that the GOP will disintegrate if Trump becomes the party’s disastrous candidate. Most of us don’t believe that any more and most of us don’t really care any more. There’s a revolution coming.
Talk of a third party is Nonsense. Trump has managed to redefine the word “Conservative”. It is not how the GOP defines it and that is the schism between the voters and the party. The GOP is not conservative. It is big business and big government and for those clearly apparent reasons, base voters are rejecting the GOP’s conservative values to be replaced, hopefully, by real constitutional conservatism. It won’t come under Trump, but it will come.
The voters have recognized that Government is out of control militarily, socially, economically and morally. It does not create jobs but destroys them. It does not create wealth, but absorbs it, each year spending more that the year before. Government does not honor or respect the small businessman but strives to crush his business and the jobs he creates.
Government has saddled Americans with countless uncontrolled bureaucracies, unlimited in the scope of their assumed powers to bring top down government control over every aspect of our lives. Our courts have turned from considering the law to making it. Our colleges and universities have already morphed into perfect examples of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” where every one is equal but “pigs” are more equal. There’s a revolution coming.
Americas history, developed from European western cultures, especially religion, is being trashed and rewritten to remove our European caucasian influences and replace it with the multicultural crowd of incompetents, Islamists and third worlders who couldn’t make it on their own even under the protections of our forgiving constitution. There’s a revolution coming.
It has at last occurred to the voters that it no longer makes any difference which party controls our government as they are both corrupt. The supposedly conservative GOP with its abandoned conservative principles, is losing its right to speak for the American base. This election proves it.
The Party has arrogantly missed the clues of the 2010, 2012 and 2014 elections that should have pointed the way back to America’s greatness and could have saved them but, alas, I fear it may be too late. The entitled holders of govt. jobs are fleeing, as are the voters. There’s a revolution coming and it’s already underway, so get ready!

A Hiccup!
Opinion May 7, 2016
Opinion by George McClellan:
House Speaker Paul Ryan can’t yet bring himself to support Donald Trump on the misconstrued grounds that Trump does not meet Republican principles. He said: “the party needs a standard bearer who meets our standards.” Just what are “our standards” and now, who cares? Here’s a clue for Speaker Ryan: the GOP has no standards except to have constantly yielded to the left’s demands for social changes, trashing the constitution, looting the treasury and gratifying their own sense of personal power. That’s why Donald Trump is the party’s presumptive “standard bearer” and not one of the malleable simpletons the party would have preferred.
Besides, who is the party? Is it really Ryan and the careerists, who are actually removable politicians, or we the people? I’ve never really trusted Mr. Ryan but I especially don’t after his ramrodding Obama’s Omnibus Spending Bill through the allegedly conservative house, as John Boehner arranged before he was kicked out of office.
Mr. Ryan want’s a rapport between Trump and the party to bridge the gap “to do what’s best for the American people.” Mr. Ryan said: “most of the burden for unifying the party must come from the nominee (Trump).” I think the conservative American people have already made that decision, the Republican party, and Speaker Ryan, be damned. But, this is a mere hiccup!
We can extrapolate the misery that is the GOP’s by accepting that any and every GOP representative who thought it expedient for their careers to vote for that bill needs to be replaced at this election by a citizen oriented representative who might have enough sense to occasionally vote “No.” Where are the good men and women when we need them?
Unrecognized by Speaker Ryan and the self-anointed party ”elites,” the lobbyists and the professional consulting class, is that they have lost the battle for the conservative base, the one they despise so vehemently but need so desperately. They cannot abide Trumps message which is not theirs. Let’s examine Trump’s message: Against all advice to the contrary, Trump continues his pledge to enforce immigration laws. The Chamber of Commerce won’t like that but the base does! Trump said he will negotiate better trade deals because American is getting “raped” in trade deals when it doesn’t need to be. He said would rebuild our military, reestablish our presence in the world and thus provide for our national security. When we are safe, so is the rest of the world.
Trump’s message is both conservative and hopeful. Trump knows how to get things done and he’s going to fulfill his promise to “make America great again.” What a message! He certainly understood what the voters want, most of whom are infuriated at the leadership who have consistently refused to do what was best for Americans, according to Republican principles.
Trump has created fundamental hopefulness that will become even more clear as time passes. Trump said: ‘I know how to fix this problem and it’s been bad leadership, bad decisions, and you paid the price for it, and we’re gonna fix it.” That’s a fighter speaking.
The American Conservative voters have said they like Trump and voters in other states have affirmed, by the electoral victories he has achieved and the size of the vote he has garnered, that he can win. Against Hillary, he will win easily. Rush Limbaugh believes he will win by a blowout. The outrage against Trump is a mere hiccup. The real battle coming is who will the “elites” want to force on us for their Vice-Presidential choice? A lot of good names are out there almost any one of which would do well in that job. Is it time for a woman or an old Pro?
