If you like high scoring games, this was the one for you as the North Hall Trojans topped the White County Warriors 49-34. We had 55 points scored in the first half in this one as both teams tried to make a statement on offense. Unfortunately for the Warriors, North Hall prevailed in this one, holding off a late comeback attempt from White County. The game ended with 83 points on the board and a combined 818 yards from the two schools. North Hall senior QB Tanner Marsh had a night to remember to open his final high school season finished with 317 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns.

Team Notes

Don’t discount the effort from White County QB Tripp Nix as the young QB came out ready to play in this one finishing with 200 yards and a touchdown in the air, while adding three more touchdowns on the ground and 84 yards on 20 carries. RB Ryan Fowler finished with 73 yards on 11 carries while WR Caysen Duvall finished with 52 receiving yards and added a touchdown on the ground. WR Vondre Nelson led the team with 66 receiving yards while WR John Phillips caught the touchdown pass from Nix. The Warriors offense finished with 363 yards. As for the defense, they struggled to slow down the opposition giving up 49 points and 455 yards.

North Hall had themselves a night, and other than a shaky first half on defense, they have a lot to be excited about as we look ahead on the season.  Marsh finished 17/23 with 180 yards and three touchdowns while also adding 137 yards and three more touchdowns on the ground, leading the run game. RB Tate Ruth tallied 60 rushing yards on 11 carries and found the endzone in this one. WR Ryals Puryear finished with seven catches and 107 yards and a touchdown. Seniors Breckan Kirby and Zeke Harris also got touchdown passes from Marsh. Harris also finished with 19 tackles, one being a TFL, leading the team.
