White County Overwhelmed on Tuesday Night

White County now falls to 2-1 on the season after fielding woes lead to a big 14-0 loss to North Hall, on Tuesday night. The Warriors managed just one hit and two walks at the plate in this one as North Hall pitcher Mills Lothridge dominated on the bump in this one. North Hall put 11 runs on the board in the bottom of the third putting this one way out of reach. Due to the mercy rule, this game ended in the 5th inning.

Game Notes

Unfortunately for White County there was not much that went right tonight. The Warriors committed six errors in this one resulting in five of the 14 runs counting as unearned. Mark Daniels got lit up early on in this one as he went just two innings, but gave up seven runs on six hits and three walks. Joseph Bowles who came in relief for Daniels, was unable to record an out as he gave up two earned runs on one hit and two walks. Adam Nix and Bentley Stover combined to throw two innings giving up three runs (all unearned) on three hits and one walk, while combining for 4 strikeouts. At the plate, SS Ryan Fowler was the only Warrior to record a hit.

As for North Hall, there was a lot to be excited about in this one. Rewarded with the win, Lothridge dominated in this one going four innings allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out seven. SS Jon Jon Read led the team with three hits in this one while also recording an RBI. C Nathan Vermeer’s 2-RBI double in the bottom of the third pushed the lead to 5-0 and lead to Vermeer leading the team in RBIs tonight. CF Ajay Jones also had himself a night at the plate going 2/3 with an RBI and three runs scored. DH Kenny Foudy, 1B Kaleb Sexton, and 2B Andrew Hlavacek all recorded one RBI a piece in this one for North Hall.
