WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — Scrap tires pose a health hazard and are a blight on the community. For that reason, White County will hold a Scrap Tire Amnesty Day on Oct. 1, 2022.

Residents of White County can bring their scrap tires to the White County Road Department, 675 Truelove Road in Cleveland between the hours of 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Amnesty events are a free and effective way to remove and recycle scrap tires.

The following rules apply:

• Limit four tires per household
• Must be White County residents
• Individuals only
• No businesses
