Public hearing on White County budget Monday

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. – The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed FY 2021-2022 budget agenda when it meets Monday at 4 p.m. in the County Administration Building.

Three more land use applications pertaining to short-term rental will also be on the agenda when the Board of Commissioners meet Monday at 4 p.m. in the County Administration Building.

Lisa Mc Williams has filed an application to request that 1.37 acres located at 291 Cindy Cove in Cleveland be redistricted from Residential Single Family (R-1) to Residential Seasonal District for the purpose of being placed into the county’s short-term rental program.

Timothy and Laura Adcox have filed an application to request a conditional use permit on 1.99 acres at 146 Soaring Hawk in Cleveland to be placed into the county’s short-term rental program.

Jeff Edrington has filed and application to redistrict 5.49 acres at 1173 River Road in Cleveland from R-1 to R-3 and a variance for a buffer setback for the purpose of being placed into the county’s short-term rental program

Other items to be considered include:

  • Renewal of the joint use agreement with the White County Board of Education for use of the county’s athletic facilities;
  • Approval of the audit engagement letter with Rushton and Company for the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 audit;
  • Approval of the renewal agreement for property and liability insurance with Association County Commissioners Georgia for FY 2020-2021;
  • Mid-year Board appointments to Avita Community Partners, Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Department of Family and Children Services; Development Authority.

Finance Director Jodi Ligon will present the monthly financial report.
