BUSINESSES

Babyland General Hospital Easter Eggstravaganza and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny cancelled.

Walmart 24-hour stores open 6 a.m. until 11 p.m. until further notice.

Elachee Nature Center closed through Mar. 31.

Mountain Valley Community Bank is open for drive-thru business only until further notice.

Dollar General strongly encourages the first hour of operations each day be dedicated solely to the elderly who are most vulnerable to COVID-19.

White County Adult Learning Center is closed until further notice.

The annual Relay for Life Gospel Singing scheduled March 27 at Zion Int. Church in Cleveland has been cancelled.

Clyde’s Table and Tavern in Cleveland now serving drive-thru customers.

Huddle House in Cleveland now serving drive-thru customers.

North GA BBQ in Cleveland now serving drive-thru customers.

Rib Country in Cleveland now serving drive-thru customers.

The Soda Fountain Café in Cleveland now serving drive-thru customers.

Bigg Daddys in Helen now serving drive-thru customers.

Cimmi’s Café in Helen now serving drive-thru customers.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

The Helen Chamber of Commerce has cancelled the 31st Annual Helen Trout Tournament scheduled for March 28.

Mock wreck at White County High School March 19 postponed.

White County Family Connection Community Collaborative meeting Mar. 20 canceled.

White County 4-H activities canceled until Mar 16-20.

Sautee Nacoochee Community Association Empty Bowl Supper Mar. 30 postponed

Mt. Yonah Baptist Church Wednesday night services canceled.

White County Special Olympics cancelled. No area 2 games will be held.

GOVERNMENT

White County Commissioners Office remains open but encourages the public to conduct its business via phone, email or fax rather than in person.

White County Emergency Management Office will close Mar. 23-April 3.

White County Probate Court has temporarily suspended all non-essential trials, hearings and services. For emergency services, contact the court by phone 706-865-4141

White County Magistrate Court is open, but all deadlines, time schedules and filing requests are suspended. Non-essential hearings are suspended. Filings are being accepted, but the public is encouraged to do so on-line. In case of emergency, call 706-865-6638.

White County Senior Center is closed but Meals on Wheels and wellness checks will continue.

Helen City Hall will be closed until April 1. Staff will be working and available by phone (706-878-2733) from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. during this time.

Helen City customers can make utility, citation, tax and permit payments by phone, drop box, and online. Standard credit card fees will be waived during the time City Hall is closed.

Helen Alcohol Server permits will not be issued during the time City Hall is closed. Anyone required to have a permit must contact City Hall and provide name, address and the business name.

Georgia Presidential Primary election delayed until May 1.

White County Adult Learning Center is closed until further notice.

All University System of Georgia institutions closed until Mar 29.

White County Schools Mar. 16-20.

City of Cleveland Open House at renovated Oak Springs School canceled

White County Senior Center closed until further notice.

White County Library Cleveland branch closed until further notice.

Georgia High School Athletic Association has suspended all extracurricular activities and sports.

Truett McConnell University closed Mar. 16-29.
