White County Board of Commissioners meets Monday

WHITE COUNTY, Ga – The White County Board of Commissioners will hold a work session and called meeting Monday, Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m. in the County Administration Building.

Commissioners are expected to name a Vice Chairman, consider bids on equipment for Yonah Preserve Playground and hold public hearings on a series of land use applications.

The public hearings include a request by:

Robert Alums to redistrict 1.15 acres on Claude Sims Road in Cleveland from Agricultural Forestry District to Residential Single Family District;

Jason Carson to redistrict .60 acres at 1085 Ridge Road in Helen from Residential Single Family to Residential Seasonal District;

Chattahoochee Baptist Church to redistrict 25.89 acres at 7905 Duncan Bridge Road from Community Commercial District to Highway Business District;

George and Lori David for a conditional use permit at 193 Sara Lane in Sautee Nacoochee to be placed into the short-term rental program;

Ryan Hodge for a conditional use permit at 1113 River Road in Cleveland to be placed into the short-term rental program;

Clay Knaus to redistrict 5.80 acres at Hwy. 129 North and Tesnatee Gap Valley Road from Single Family District to Agriculture Forestry District;

Mossy Creek United Methodist Church for a variance for building setback at 2154 Post Road in Cleveland.
