Lady Warriors use big fourth quarter to defeat Blessed Trinity

The White County Lady Warriors defeated Blessed Trinity 53-38 on Tuesday at White County Middle School. They ended the game on a 17-5 run to take a demanding lead late in the fourth.

Bentley Cronic lead the way for the Lady Warriors with 14 points. Dasha Cannon had 12 points, and Maddie Futch and Naomi Crumley each chipped in 11.

Blessed Trinity opened the game with a 9-3 run to gain a lead early. However, the Lady Warriors responded to cut the lead to 13-8 at the end of the first.

White County dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Titans 19-7 to take a 27-20 lead into halftime.

The third quarter was low scoring, with White County still leading 32-27 at the end of the period.

Blessed Trinity had a quick run to make the score 36-33 early in the fourth. From that point on, White County had all of the momentum. They outscored the Titans 17-5 from that point on to take the 53-38 win.

The Lady Warriors next game will be Friday as they travel to play at Marist High School.
