Republican Robert Crumley will primary Terry Rogers

CLEVELAND, Ga. – Republican Robert Crumley, a White County resident has announced his campaign for District 10 State Representative, the seat Terry Rogers has held since a special election in 2011.

Crumley has never campaigned for office himself but he has a good understanding of what it takes to manage a political campaign, having served as a field representative for the Donald Trump for President campaign, first in Atlanta then in Montana where he led an outreach program for Native Americans.

Crumley is a conservative but says, “I don’t label people by their political beliefs but by their character.”

He told Fetch Your News, “I want to make life better for people. I believe people should have more money in their pocket. People are struggling today just to make ends meet.”

To accomplish that, Crumley said he has a number of initiatives, including working to eliminate the tax on overtime hours, lowering property taxes, and reducing the cost of healthcare. He also said he would implement term limits.

He has been in enough campaigns to know that unseating an incumbent will be an uphill battle.

Crumley said his opponent raised about $70,000 in 2018 even though he was unopposed. “He had more than 100 donations but only a handful came from our district. Most came from other politicians or corporations. Ours will be a grassroots campaign.

Crumley invited citizens who would like to learn more about him and his platform to call him at 706-809-7015 or email him at [email protected].
