John Lynn Burrow

It is with great sadness that the family of John Lynn Burrow, age 76, of Cleveland announces his death on October 13, 2018 following period of declining health.

Born May 27, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas John Burrow was the son of the late Brent and Mildred Burrow. He attended West Texas State University, where he studied business. After college, he enjoyed a long business career with General Electric Credit Corporation, The Flower Gallery Florist and Primrose Oil.

A man of sincere faith, John Burrow was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. He had a gift of making everyone around him feel comfortable, loved and heard. Always kind and smiling, John was a hard worker who cared deeply, not only for his family, but for his friends as well.

He was a skilled fly fisherman and enjoyed employing his expertise in the beautiful streams of the Rocky Mountains, especially at Platoro, Colorado. He possessed the ability to envision, create, build, or repair many things.

John Burrow leaves behind his loving wife, best friend and partner for 55 years, Jeanavon Harper Burrow; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Jon McArdle of Dallas, TX; daughter and son-in-law Julie and David Clark of Savannah, GA; and son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Anette Burrow of Craig, CO. He is also survived by a sister, Donna Kennedy of Canyon, TX; a brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Cindy Burrow of Amarillo, TX; six beloved grandsons: John and Will Burrow, Connor and Quinn McArdle, and Sam and Walter Clark; and two great-grandchildren Caleb and Brynn Lynn Burrow. He leaves behind in addition five nephews and their spouses and eleven great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Max Kennedy.

John Burrow made a better world for all who knew him, and his family feels especially blessed and thankful to have had him in each of their lives.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Turner and the Rev. Bucky Erwin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday prior to the memorial service.
