White County EMA Director David Murphy

CLEVELAND, Ga. – White County Emergency Management Agency Director David Murphy received word last week that White County has again been recognized as a StormReady county.

In a letter to Murphy, David J. Nadler, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the Georgia StormReady Advisory Board said, “I would like to congratulate you and your team on your jurisdiction’s StormReady re-recognition. It is clearly the result of your vision, leadership, hard work and commitment to the citizens of White County.

“They should take great pride and comfort in maintaining this status and, to a great degree, they have you to thank for it. The current StormReady recognition for White County will be valid for the next three years (2018-2021), and officially expires on February 28, 2021.

“As a StormReady county, you are authorized to use the StormReady logo in official letterheads, brochures, or other suitable documents.

“Congratulations once again to you and your team on this great achievement. We’re proud to have you continuing to be a part of the growing StormReady family in Georgia!”
