Murrayville man killed in collision on Hwy. 115

CLEVELAND, Ga. – A Murrayville man was killed Saturday when his Toyota Scion crossed the double yellow line on Ga. 115 and struck a Ford F-150 head on just east of Cleveland.
The Georgia State Patrol has identified the man killed as 30-year-old Ulises Delgado-Carrera. The driver of the Ford F-150 was Tony Hooper, 49, of Cleveland. He was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Cpl. Spencer Munger, of GSP Post 6 in Gainesville, at approximately 6:52 a.m., Carerra was traveling west on Ga. 115 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed the double-yellow line and struck Hooper’s pickup truck.
Two other vehicles were involved in the accident. A Ford Escape driven by Jeremy Craig, 37, of Cleveland, could not avoid the initial collision and struck the Toyota Scion and a westbound Kia Soul driven by Erica Mokarem, 45, of Demorest, was struck by debris from the collision. Neither Craig nor Mokarem was injured.
The wreck shut down Ga. 115 for several hours.
