Cleveland man killed in crash on Ga. 365 in Baldwin

BALDWIN, Ga. — A Cleveland man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Ga. 365 in Baldwin shortly after 8 p.m. Friday.

According to a report by the Georgia State Patrol, Jonathan Kelley, 25, of Cleveland, died when the 2010 Nissan Altima he was driving pulled across Ga. 365 from Wilbanks Road and was struck on the driver’s side by a 2003 Jaguar sedan driven by Ronnie Humphreys, 44, of Gainesville.

The accident was investigated by Trooper 1st Class Travis Sanders of GSP Post 7 in Toccoa who said Kelley’s car came to rest on the east shoulder of Ga. 365 just north of Wilbanks Road following the impact.

The report also stated that seatbelts were in use in both vehicles at the time of the crash, and there was no evidence of alcohol or drug use.

Humphreys suffered what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
