Mount Yonah, Tesnatee Gap Elementary Named Highest Performing Schools
News March 7, 2017CLEVELAND, Ga. — White County School Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Wilson reported today that Mount Yonah Elementary School and Tesnatee Gap Elementary School (formerly White County Intermediate School) have been named to Georgia Department of Education 2017 Title I Reward Schools as Georgia “Highest-Performing Schools.”
A Highest-Performing School is among the five percent of the state’s Title I schools with the absolute highest performance, over three years, for the “all students” group on the statewide assessments. A school may not be classified as a Highest-Performing School if it has been identified as a Priority or Focus School.
“I am so proud of the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and parents,” Wilson said Tuesday. “White County Schools are among the best schools in the state and our students can compete with anyone.”
