June Vandiver Adams, age 82 of Athens, passed away January 1, 2017.

Mrs. Adams was born May 6, 1934 in White County to the late Garland Granger and Virgie Mae Barrett Vandiver. She was the co-owner of Five Points Realty and was a member of Helen Presbyterian Church. June was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Henry E. Adams and brother, Jerry Vandiver.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Adams Bohne’; daughter and son-in-law, Merry Karen Adams West and Keith West; son and daughter-in-law, James Edwin Adams and Kathy Payne Adams; grandchildren, Jessica Michele Bohne’, Jayme Morgan Bohne’, Sierra Noelle Adams, Kelsea Elizabeth West, Garrett Keith West, Molly Kathryn West; great grandson, Reese Michael Walkowitz; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Hoyal Presley, Holly and Steve Crumley; sister, Bobbie Meter; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jane Vandiver.

Memorial services are scheduled for 7:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Pastor Charles Wilson will officiate. Interment will be at Helen Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
