Classes Resume Today at White Co. Schools

News

CLEVELAND, Ga. — White County High School and the Ninth Grade Academy will resume classes today (Oct. 20) after a problem with the water pressure caused the cancellation of classes at both schools yesterday.

An email from the school superintendent’s office indicated that water pressure was too high, causing a commode to explode and cause minor injuries to a maintenance worker. A new pressure valve was installed and pressure was returned to a normal level.

William Sperin, the school system’s technology director, said in his email, “The water problem at the High School has been fixed. All students and staff are to return as normal on Thursday, October 20, 2016.”
