Cleveland Man Indicted for Murder

CLEVELAND, Ga. — A White County Grand Jury has indicted Frederick William Sauder, 27, of Cleveland on charges of malice and felony murder in connection with the Aug. 12 shooting death of 66-year-old Wayne Alexander also of Cleveland.

Sauder, who was also indicted on charges of aggravated assault, burglary, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, was arrested on Aug. 17 at the Travel Inn Motel in Athens.

Alexander’s body was found in his Craven road home by his ex-wife who said she went to check on him because of some physical problems he had.

Justin Edward Davis, 28, of White County was also indicted on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, burglary i the first degree and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
