Mr. William “Bill” Jackson, age 82, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Jackson was born on January 27, 1934, in Cleveland, GA, to the late Frank and Bonnie Freeman Jackson. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mae Bowen, Lelia Dyer, and Onie Brown; and brother, Ed Jackson. Mr. Jackson was Machinist for Talon for 45 years and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Jackson loved people and was a friend to everyone. He loved his simple small town life and making people laugh. He liked to drive and ride. Mr. Jackson was a beloved husband and father to his wife and children.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim Medlock; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Ponda Jackson; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Tammy and Dwayne Shelnut, Susan and Steve Dixon, and Amy and Charles Swing; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Kerry and Sandy Walden; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Clyde Moody, and Kay and Royal Jackson; special nephew, Buddy Brown; and special friend, Ed Allen; all of Cleveland.

Funeral service are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, June 3, 2016, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner and the Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park.

The family will receive friends from 1-8 pm. Thursday at the funeral home.
