Vickie Mae Arrowood, age 62 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018.
Ms. Arrowood was born on September 16, 1955, in Habersham County, to Leoner D. Butler and the late Claude Randy Butler. Vickie was a poultry farmer for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve M. Butler.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Tommy Miller, Mt. Airy; granddaughter, Brittany Miller, Mt. Airy; mother, Leoner Butler, Mt. Airy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera and Robert “Bobby” Scroggs, Demorest, Tinie and James “Len” Lively, Cleveland, Glenda “Kay” and Buddy Lee Hamilton, Mt. Airy; sister, Patricia Irvin, Cornelia; close friend, Keith Fortenberry, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Carlan will officiate. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary Lou Bosma: Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lou Bosma, age 88 of Peachtree Corners formerly of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Mrs. Bosma was born February 19, 1930 in Fairburn, GA to the late Charles and Lizzy Bell Leach. Mary Lou was a homemaker and a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob “Jack” Bosma and daughter, Donna Bosma.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Vicky G. Bosma of Peachtree Corners; grandson and wife, Joseph C. and Victoria Bosma of Loganville; great grandchildren, Gemma E. Bosma and Jacob R. Bosma.
A graveside service for Mrs. Bosma will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Yonah View Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, GA with the Rev. Dennis Turner officiating.

Margarett Turk, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 02, 2018.
Ms. Turk was born September 17, 1933 in Gainesville, GA to the late Daniel Leslie Martin and Myrtle Castleberry Martin. She was a former Teacher’s Aid and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Martin and sister, Eloise Propes. Survivors include her daughters, Pam Garrett, Cleveland, Madge Skelton (Ronnie) Cleveland; son, Wayne Turk (Rhonda) also of Cleveland; grandchildren and their spouses, Marty and Amanda Garrett, Amanda and Jeremy Sapp, Subrena Turk, Levi Turk as well as her great grandchildren, Isaac Black, Anna Grace Garrett and Matthew Garrett. Ms. Turk is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and additional family members.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Robinson and Rev. Greg Poole officiating. Ms. Turk will lie in state at the church from 1:30 pm until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mildred Arlene Shepp: Obituary
Obituaries April 2, 2018
Mrs. Mildred Arlene Shepp, age 83 of Gainesville, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018. She was born June 21, 1934 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late Herbert and Ernestine Snyder. In 1978, Mrs. Shepp began working as an office manager at Walton EMC where she served her community for over 20 years. Following her retirement; she enjoyed reading, crocheting, shopping, and of course her annual trip to the casino with her sisters.
Mrs. Shepp is preceded in death by her husband Robert Dean Shepp Sr., son Joe Allen Shepp, and granddaughter Becky Leigh Bowdoin Knight. Survivors include, her children Margie Hines of Gainesville, Bobby Shepp of Cleveland, and Bill Shepp of Gainesville. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Beaver of West Virginia and Beverly Harkins of Indiana, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

“Our Beautiful baby girl Charlee, We grew to love you, and we always will. I will never forget that one second as I was laying down and felt you move for the first and only time. Mommy and Daddy love you endlessly.”
Heaven’s gain was our loss on March 26, 2018 when our sweet baby girl Charlee Elizabeth Wood came into this world too soon and was taken too soon.
She is survived by her parents, Kimberly Brown and Casey Wood of Cleveland, Georgia; Grandparents Teresa Brown and Mitch Simpson, Tim Brown, and Karen and Dwight Wood; Uncles Jimmy Brown, Timmy Brown, and Justin Nash; Aunts Autumn Brown and Alicia Nash. She is also survived by her 6 cousins- Bryson Nash, Alexis Nash, Landon Brown, Jackson Brown, Walker Brown, and Emmalyn Brown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. A chapel service will begin at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Etterlee officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Community Cemetery.

Jeannine Bristol age 88 of Sautee, passed away on Monday, March, 26 2018.
Mrs. Bristol was born November 26th, 1929 to the late Cecil and Fannie Lusk. For 30 years she was employed at the Helen Post Office. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Bristol. Mrs. Bristol was a lifetime resident of White County.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Claudette and Doug Brown of Kennesaw, son and daughter-in-law Bradley and Teesi Bristol of Hiram; daughter and son-in-law Penni and Kent Rollings of Wedowee, AL. Survivors also include her brothers Cecil, Winston, and Edwin Lusk, sister Maxine Seabolt, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Juanita Helen Crumley, age 86, died peacefully at her home in Cleveland, GA on Friday, March 16, 2018 following an extended illness.
Juanita was born on October 12, 1931 to John and Icie (Turner) Howard of Cleveland, GA. A lifelong resident of White County, Juanita (also known as “Nita’ by her friends and family) was a homemaker and worked with her late husband, Cecil, in the ownership and operation of a successful dairy business. She was an avid reader, excellent cook and seamstress. Her love of quilt making was a craft passed down by her mother and a craft now cherished by her grandchildren and great grandchildren (whom she called “her little blessings”). An active member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church, Juanita will be remembered most for her kind and compassionate spirit and her overflowing generosity…..All were welcomed in her home!
In addition to her parents and her husband, Juanita is preceded in death by her brothers, Edwin, L.G. and James Howard and her grandson, Adam Nix. She is survived by her sister, Jean Lindsay, Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Dickie Nix, Cleveland; Donna and Mike Fitzpatrick, Cleveland; Janice and Tom Duggins, Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Ginny Crumley, Gainesville; Greg and Carol Crumley, Cleveland; son, Joe Crumley, Cleveland.

Joseph (Joe) Phillip Boyd Sr. age 99, of Cleveland passed away Saturday March 3, 2018.
Mr. Boyd was born in Henry County Georgia the son of the late William Green and Sally Hutchins Boyd. He was the owner and operator of Boyd’s Repair Service for 35 plus years. Mr. Boyd was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and served on the USS Washington and later entered the Merchant Marines. He was a member of Welcome Worship Center.
Survivors include his wife, Fidelina Boyd, Cleveland; son, Joseph Phillip Boyd Jr., Cleveland, Osman Romero, Cleveland; daughters, Mackey Hooper, Murfreesboro, TN., Lyn Doran (George), Stratham, NH., Jean Boyd Burroughs, Gainesville, Gina Maria Wood, Gainesville; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Welcome Worship Center. The Rev. Jimmy Peck will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
