Fern London Ward, age 81 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018.
Mrs. Ward was born on August 5, 1937, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late John Graves and Flary Etta Cantrell London. She lived most of her life in White County and worked for Talon. Fern was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and was preceded in death by brothers, Phillip London, Arthur London, Richard London, Clarence London, Benny London, Albert London, Edgar London; sisters, Virginia Hogan and Irene London.
Survivors include her husband, Milton O’Neal Ward, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Shirley Ward, Cleveland, and Milton and Roberta Ward, Cornelia; twin sister, Laverne Berrong, Cleveland; brother, Grant London, Cleveland; granddaughter, Anna Ledford (Jeremy); special friend, Katie Penland.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Danny Kastner will officiate. Interment will follow at Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Rondal Garmon officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Penelope “Penny” Eckenboy, age 77 of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
Mrs. Eckenboy was born September 2, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Raymond and Naima Olson. On Christmas Day in 1960 in Chicago Penny married Cliff Eckenboy. Penny attended Jones Commercial School, where she studied business and clerical administration. After finishing school, Mrs. Eckenboy worked 17 years at Pillsbury Law Firm in Washington, D.C. She later worked for a private law firm in Frederick, Maryland, and also the American Cancer Society. When Penny relocated to Sautee Nacoochee she became active in the library in Helen, Georgia.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Cliff Eckenboy, Sautee Nacoochee; daughter and son-in-law, Timbre and Andrew Day, Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Kalvin and Maky Makael, Spencer Day, Olivia Day, Stewart Day; sisters, Joy Price, Illinois; Echo Olson, Wisconsin; Jean Sproehnle, Arizona; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Daisy Urania Henderson Chastain, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
Mrs. Chastain was born April 27, 1931 in White County to the late John Henry Henderson and Zora Burke Henderson. Urania was a homemaker and a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Chastain; brothers, John Henderson, Albert Henderson, L.D. Henderson, Ray Henderson and Jim Henderson; and sisters, Dora Fortner, Carrie Roland, Mary Cantrell and Eula Roberts.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James Rondal and Sheryl Stephens Chastain, Cleveland; Gregory Keith and Laura Turner Chastain, Gainesville; grandchildren, Chelsey Chastain Hogan and Jason Hogan, Cleveland and Jordan Gregory Chastain and Kelsey Chastain, Chattanooga, TN; great-granddaughter Olivia Hogan, Cleveland; and special friend and caretaker, Valorie Ash.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, October 11, 2018 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson, the Rev. Bill Gravely and the Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Flynn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Billie Jo Peterman: Obituary
Obituaries October 3, 2018Cleveland Funeral Home announces that Billie Jo Peterman, age 88 of Cleveland, Georgia passed away on September 30, 2018. Mrs. Peterman was born on March 20, 1930 to the late Albert Woodruff and Bessie House in Austin, Texas. She remained in Austin for some time, receiving her high school education from Austin High. Billie and her loving husband and best friend of 70 years, Herbert Peterman have lived in Cleveland, Georgia for the last 18 years. They are members of Helen Presbyterian where Billies beautiful voice will be sincerely missed, ringing out in the choir loft. Out of all of the many talents and attributes that Billie possessed, we all know that she would like to be remembered as an Artist, self taught musician, wonderful homemaker, and a very competitive Tennis player.
In Addition to her parents, Mrs. Peterman is preceded in death by her son, Mark Peterman and a sister, Joy Yates. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Peterman of Cleveland. Daughter and Son in law, Kitrina (Jake) Asuit of Cleveland. She is also survived by 3 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
It was Mrs. Petermans wishes to be cremated. No public services will be held at this time.

Obituaries October 3, 2018Cleveland Funeral Home of Cleveland, Georgia announces that Ms. Linda Carol (Slatton) Camp passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 22, 2018.
Ms. Camp was born on July 14, 1942 in Whitwell, Tennessee to the late Leroy Slatton and Elva Almond. She is survived by a brother and sister in law, Sam (Shirley) Slatton of Whitwell, TN. ; Daughter, Renee (Darryl) Lovell of Cleveland, GA. Daughter, Karen (Geary) Camp of Cleveland, GA. ; Granddaughter Karley (Austin) Giles of Cleveland, GA. ; She is also survived by one great grandchild, Warryn Ellie Giles, Also of Cleveland.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. at Generation Church, 7702 Duncan Bridge Rd, Cleveland, GA. A Memorial Service will begin at 5 p.m. following visitation in the sanctuary of the church. There will be another Memorial Service on Saturday, August 25 at 1 P.M (C.S.T.) at the First Baptist Church in Whitwell, Tennessee. Visitation will be held prior to that service also, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (C.S.T.)
In lieu of flowers, Ms. Camp would love for memorial donations to be made to Generation Church. All Memorial Funds will go towards building a church in the mission field in memory of our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister, Linda Carol Camp.

Obituaries October 3, 2018Cleveland Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Joshua Maurice Wayne Tench, age 31 of Cleveland, Georgia. Mr. Tench passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
Joshua, more commonly known as Josh, was born on November 28, 1986 in Atlanta, Georgia to Maurice Tench and Julia Fischel. In addition to both parents, Josh is survived by a brother, Cody Burrell; Sister, Brandy Tech; Children, Mitzi and Kenneth Tench. He is preceded in death by a sister, Courtney Tech.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22 from 12-2p.m. Immediately after, there will be a funeral service at 2p.m. in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Tench Family Cemetery.
