Sautee man charged with family violence

CLEVELAND, Ga. – A 40-year-old Sautee man has been charged with battery and cruelty to children following a domestic dispute involving the mother of their 3-year-old son, Cassandra Rogers.

According to the incident report, Rogers, 27, and Jason Watson Wardle began arguing ear;u Saturday morning as Wardle was driving to work. Rogers said Wardle pulled to the side of the road and tried to push her out. She said she did not want to leave her son with him so she refused to get out. At that point, she alleges that Wardle punched her in the face, cutting her lip and loosening a tooth.

The report says the cut was visible and White County EMS advised deputies it appeared to be fresh.

Wardle was arrested and transported to White County Detention Center where he is held on $6,000 bond.
