CLEVELAND, Ga. – After nearly seven years on the job as White County’s Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Jeffrey R. Wilson is apparently ready for a change.

According to a post on the Floyd County School System, Wilson has been named as one of three finalists for the job of superintendent. According to the post: “After conducting an extensive search and completing candidate interviews, the Floyd County Board of Education has named its three superintendent finalists. The top three finalists are Dr. April Childers, of Rome, Dr. Glenn White, of Rome, and Dr. Jeffrey R. Wilson, of Cleveland.”

Johnson has been superintendent of schools for the White County Public Charter School System since 2003. Prior to that, he served as assistant superintendent for Instruction Services for the Anderson, South Carolina School District from 2003 to 2011. He was also an adjunct professor at Clemson University.
