Harvey Russell Pruitt, age 82 of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Northside Hospital-Forsyth.

Mr. Pruitt was born on June 19, 1935, in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late James Russell and Mary Girlie Pruitt. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Russell was preceded in death by his sons, Phillip Pruitt and Ricky Pruitt; brothers, Leroy “Curly” Pruitt, Charles Pruitt, and Larry Pruitt.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Neva Pruitt, Cleveland; brothers, Thomas Pruitt, Alto, and Jerry Pruitt, Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Rachel Pruitt, Dahlonega; sisters, Mildred Rider, Dahlonega, and Phyllis Burton, Cornelia; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Johnny Seabolt, Cleveland; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Stacy Dyer, the Rev. Les Fuller, and the Rev. Stephen Gerrells will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home and also Saturday until the time of the funeral.
