**Freeman’s Clutch Triple Lifts White County Over Greater Atlanta Christian**
Alex Freeman came through in a big way Tuesday night, leading the White County Varsity Warriors to a 6-3 comeback win over Greater Atlanta Christian on the road.
Freeman was a force at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a game-changing triple in the seventh inning. He also singled in the first and third, finishing just a home run shy of the cycle.
Greater Atlanta Christian jumped ahead in the second inning, capitalizing on a walk and a sacrifice fly to take a 2-0 lead. But White County clawed back in the third, evening the score with a pair of productive groundouts, including one by Shelton Ramey to tie things up.
The Spartans regained the edge in the fifth after Stopher drew a bases-loaded walk, making it 3-2. But the seventh inning belonged to White County.
Down by one with the game on the line, Freeman stepped to the plate and ripped a bases-clearing triple, giving the Warriors a 5-3 lead. Moments later, Sawyer Gailey tacked on another insurance run with an RBI single.
On the mound, Shelton Ramey picked up the win in relief. He pitched three strong innings, allowing just one hit and one run while striking out three. Starter Trevor Butler also delivered a solid outing, fanning five over four innings and surrendering two runs on five hits.
Defensively, White County was spotless—committing no errors and turning a smooth double play. Cole Shelton was a defensive anchor, handling nine chances cleanly.
Greater Atlanta Christian showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks, with Watkins leading the team at 2-for-4. Koons, Watkins, and Stopher each drove in a run.
The two teams will meet again on Thursday, as White County looks to complete the sweep.
