WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — The body of a Cleveland man reported missing on Aug. 16 was recovered Friday Aug. 20 from his crashed vehicle on SR 75 (Helen Highway) near Helen.
State Patrol Troopers who investigated crash said 50-year-old Robert McKenna was driving his Chevrolet Silverado north on Helen Hwy., traveled off of the east shoulder and struck a dirt embankment. The Silverado vaulted over a driveway and landed in a ditch, overturning, coming to a final rest on its roof.
He was last being seen on Sunday, Aug. 14. A missing person investigation had been launched by the Cleveland Police Department and included a ground search of the area and a search from the air by the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Unit. Any further information regarding that investigation should be directed to the Cleveland Police Department.
