Cleveland man faces charges after fatal crash

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — Corson Gibbes, 25, of Gainesville has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and failure to maintain lane following Satuday’s head-on collision on Hwy. 115 east that killed a Cleveland man.

The crash occurred near Shenandoah Drive, between Black Road and Ga. 255 South when Maynor’s 2007 Hyundai Elantra sedan was traveling east on Ga. 115 and Gibbes’ Toyota Tacoma pickup truck failed to maintain his lane, crossed the centerline, and struck the sedan head-on according to the Georgia State Patrol accident report.

Robert Henry Maynor Jr, 35, of Cleveland was pronounced deceased at the scene.
