WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — On April 26, White County residents will have an opportunity to save lives when MedLink hosts a blood drive from 2 until 6 p.m. at MedLink, 25 Old Blairsville Road in Cleveland.
There is currently a national blood shortage and it is affecting all communities. Donating blood is an unselfish act that requires and saves lives In fact statics show that each pint donated can save up to three lives.
Blood can’t be manufactured. Despite medical and technological advances, blood can’t be made so donations are vital. Only about one-third of the country’s population is eligible to donate blood. Your friends and loved ones may need your blood one day so please consider attending the MedLink blood drive on Tuesday, April 26 between 2 and 6 p.m.
