CLEVELAND, Ga. – The officers of the Cleveland Police Department will be stepping up their efforts to promote traffic safety and reduce vehicle accidents during the holiday season. Specifically, the officers will be actively patrolling for impaired drivers, distracted drivers on their cell phones, seatbelt violations, and speed violations. There have been over 1,700 fatality accidents on the roadways of Georgia in 2021 and over 700 of those were not wearing seatbelts in the vehicle.
