No injuries reported in house fire

PRESS RELEASE

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. — Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire Tuesday (Sept. 22), at 1068 Hwy. 255N approximately 7 p.m.  Firefighters from White County with Mutual Aid from Helen Fire, Cleveland Fire and Lee Arrendale assisted in fighting the blaze.

Callers reported a kitchen fire started from grease while cooking.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire that had spread into the ceiling and another room.  Other parts of the home received smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported and firefighters remained on scene until approximately 9:30 p.m.
