HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. – Two Hall County residents suffered what appears to have been non-life threatening injuries Wednesday when their vehicle turned into the path of a tractor trailer driven by Johnny Cochran, 24, of Cleveland.
According to the Georgia State Patrol accident report , Tonya Wilkes, 57, was driving north when she attempted to turn left on Hwy. 365 at Wilbanks Road and failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
Wilkes and a 14-year-old passenger in her vehicle were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Cochran suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital. Wilkes was charged with failure to yield right of way.
The accident shut down traffic for three hours.
