The White Co. Warriors (1-2) lost 2-1 against the West Hall Spartans (3-0) on the road on Friday night. West Hall scored consecutive goals halfway through the first half, and White Co. couldn’t recover.
The Spartans scored the first goal of the half with 19 minutes left. They followed that up with another goal less than a minute later. The Warriors were able to get onto the scoreboard for the first time late in the half. With 37 seconds left, #9 Andrew Pierce scored on a header to cut the Spartans’ lead to 2-1 at the half.
Despite neither team scoring in the second half, the game was competitive. West Hall went on to win 2-1.
White Co. plays again on Monday at home against Habersham Central (2-0) at 7:30 p.m.
