Family Promise to hold community celebration Thursday

CLEVELAND, GA — Family Promise of White & Habersham will be holding its first community celebration Thursday Oct.  24 at 6 p.m. in the Laceola Community Clubhouse, 280 Lake Club Drive in Cleveland.

A dessert reception will be held to honor the dedicated congregations, donors, volunteers and staff members who are the backbone of the local Family Promise program! Attendees will have the opportunity to visit with the Family Promise Board of Directors, fellowship with fellow supporters, and find out what the future holds as Family Promise of White & Habersham embarks on their 7th year of service to northeast Georgia.

The leadership behind Family Promise sincerely hopes that you will attend and encourage attendance from others in your congregation.  Together, we can all ensure that this crucial community resource remains in place to help families across White County and the surrounding area.

Family Promise of White & Habersham (FPWH) is the only homeless shelter in White County and is an essential resource for homeless children in Habersham and their families. FPWH provides services to both help overcome and prevent homelessness through a strong network of local church congregations and volunteers who provide overnight/weekend shelter, home-cooked meals, and loving fellowship for families who enter the program for an average of three months. Comprehensive case management, education, training programs and counseling services are made available to move our guests from a state of homelessness to a position of self-sustainability.
