Gainesville woman arrested for kicking ex-boyfriend in the face

CLEVELAND, Ga. – Cleveland Police arrested Patrice Andrea Perkins, 30 of Gainesville, last week after she allegedly kicked her ex-boyfriend in the face as they were driving out of the Walmart parking lot on May 23.

According to the police report, the two had been in a relationship that the victim, Nathaniel Ray McKay 38 of Cleveland, said ended a long time ago. As the two were leaving the parking lot in separate cars, Perkins claimed McKay “brake-checked” her. That’s why, she said she kicked him.

Perkins then got into McKay’s car and refused to get out. He then drove to the Cleveland Police Department where Officer Brandon Wood questioned them.

According to the police report, “It was obvious that both were on some kind of drug.” The report also states that McKay admitted to being a meth addict and taking the drug in the morning.

Perkins was charged with battery and transported to the White County Detention Center.

A search of McKay’s 2007 Nissan Maxima recovered drug paraphernalia and was impounded.
