HELEN, Ga. – Time is running out on those who want to fish in the 30th Annual Helen Trout Tournament tomorrow (March 30) on the Chattahoochee River.
Registration will take place today (March 29) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday starting at 6 a.m. until 9 a.m as the Helen Chamber of Commerce located at 1074 Edelweiss Strasse in Helen.
The boundary for river access is Escowee Street (just upstream from Hofbräuhaus Restaurant) downstream through Helen to the second Brucken Strasse Bridge.
More than $4,000 in prizes in tagged trout will be awarded during the tournament which will run until 2 p.m. Saturday. An award ceremony with raffle drawing will take place following the tournament and the first 200 people to register will receive a tournament t-shirt.
