Fire Damages Blue Ridge Apartments

CLEVELAND, Ga. — Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt reports that two apartments at the Blue Ridge Apartments on Bryant Street were damaged by fire Sunday evening.

Pruitt said firefighters were dispatched around 7 p.m. Sunday and that a crockpot left on a stove burner was the cause of the fire.

All occupants escaped the fire uninjured before firefighters arrived.

The blazed caused six people to be displaced and the American Red Cross was called to assist victims with immediate needs.
