Eunice Virginia “June” Smith: Obituary

EUNICE VIRGINIA “JUNE” SMITH (91 yrs) March 25, 1925- Dec. 2, 2016 Grandma was a seamstress, a homemaker and a lifelong Christian. She attended Living Mission Methodist Church when she was able. She loved flowers and her yard was always beautiful. She was born in White County, Ga to the late William MacAurthur Smith and Mellie Lona “Saxon” Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband William Esley Smith, her son Maxi Gene Smith, her grandchildren Connie Marie Hightower and Jimmy Curtis Hightower, her sisters Mae Armour and Ruth Martin, and her brothers Jay Smith and Barney Smith.

She is survived by her daughters Sylvia Marette Grier of Gainesville, Virginia Lorene Smallwood of Gainesville, Janice Cheryl Reid of Lula, and son William Methel Smith of Homer. Also, grandchildren Teresa K. Cagle, Felecia G Baugh, Samantha D. Littlefield, James “Jimmy” (or Sonny Boy as grandma nicknamed him) Hightower, Gregory V Grier, Randy Smallwood, Sherrie Atterholt, Myra Patterson, Rebecca Smith, Maxi Edward “Dude” Smith, Stacy Gene “Babe” Smith, Nikki Methel Smith, William Shane Smith, Wanda T. Denton, April Dawn Smith, Kenneth E. Clore, and Jeffery Scott Clore. My son Dexter Alan Grier is her first great grandchild of many. I will try to name as many as I can. Eric and Ashleigh Baugh. Justin Wilson, Josh and Nicole Littlefield, Kayla, Esley and Madison Grier and Brooklyn Nevaeh, Alex, Abbey and Nicholas Hightower, Janita Michele Smith, Halli Chevelle DeGraff, Jeremy Fowler, Haley Gilreath, Cody Smith, Fletcher Smith, Sydney 1 / 2 Smith, John (JohnJohn) Atterholt, Anaken Atterholt, Dalton and Sydney Patterson, Savannah and Tybee Denton, Draven and Colt Smith, Jesse and Jessica Clore. Also great, great grandchildren Emma S Flores, Charlie Lyric Davis and Maximilliano Smith. She is also survived by a sister Beatrice Ferguson and a brother Johnny Smith. There are also a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws as well that we love dearly I just couldn’t name them all.

Visitation is from 6:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday Dec.6 and 12:00-1:00pm Wed. Dec. 7 at Alexander’s Funeral Home with graveside services at 2:00pm Wed. Dec. 7 at Living Mission Church on Belton Bridge Rd. Lula, GA
