CLEVELAND, Ga. – White County Sheriff’s deputies have made two arrests in connection with the pre-dawn burglary at the Chevron convenience store on Hwy. 129 South in Cleveland Monday.
Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said Marquis Brooks, 21, of Atlanta and 25-year-old Rahman Evan Cain, of East Point, were arrested Tuesday after they allegedly knocked a hole in the back of the store around 3 a.m. and attempted to make off with the store’s safe, but were unable to remove it.
Ingram said the men are charged with second degree burglary and partner to a crime. They are currently in White County Jail and bond has not been set.
