Ultralight Plane Crashes in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ga. — A Quicksilver ultralight aircraft crashed into the woods off Hwy. 115 East in White County late Friday afternoon. Authorities were not contacted immediately and Cleveland Fire Chief David Murphy said units from the Cleveland Sheriff’s Office were not dispatched to the crash site until around noon Saturday.

Sources tell Fetch Your News that there were two people on board and one was Cleveland Mayor Shan Ash. Neither is believed to have suffered serious injuries. The other was not identified. Fetch Your News will have more details as they become available.
