Mr. Leslie “Les” Russell Nix, age 51 of Cleveland. Les passed away Monday, August 29, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am, Friday, 2, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Heffner officiating. Interment will follow Yonah View Memory Gardens. Les was born in Hall County on March 3, 1965 to the late Russell Nix and Joyce Palmer Nix. He graduated White County High School in 1983 and was employed by the White County Senior Center. Those who knew Les will remember him as a quite man with a heart of compassion, a giving spirit and love for his God. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Nix.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Kelli Schutt Nix of Cleveland, son Elijah Nix of Cleveland and his mother, Joyce Palmer Nix also of Cleveland.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the funeral home from 5 to 7pm.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that memorial donations be made to the Elijah S. Nix Scholarship Fund at any Regions Bank.
