James Howard “Hal” Barrett: Obituary

James Howard “Hal” Barrett, age 61 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Barrett was born March 12, 1954 in Gainesville to Connie Barrett and the late Clarence Barrett. Hal was the owner of Hal Barrett Construction and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving father, devoted husband and a true friend.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Anderson Barrett, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Chanley and Denise Barrett; Cleveland; son, Scott Barrett, Cleveland; mother, Connie Barrett, Gainesville; grandchildren, Kayley Barrett, Jordan Bell Barrett; great grandson, Aidyn Barrett; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Barrett and Kathy Peak, Winder; brother, Tony Barrett, Flowery Branch; his special little angel, Shailey Savage; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Phil Miller and the Rev. Shane Savage will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Monday prior to the memorial service.
