Rowena Allen Meaders age 86, of Cornelia passed away Saturday October 31, 2015.
Mrs. Meaders was born in White County the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruby Pepper Allen. She was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Allen, Almer (Buddy) Allen and sister, Eloise Ledford.
Survivors include her daughters, Hazel Virginia Meaders, Cleveland, Kathleen Meaders Gibby, Mt. Airy; daughter and son in law, Treva Meaders and Larry Patterson, Lavonia; son, Bruce LaWayne Meaders, Cleveland; granddaughter, Denise Meaders, Cornelia; brother, Elmer Allen, Cleveland; sister, Doris Allen Nix, Cleveland; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday November 4, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. J.D. Sosebee Jr. and the Rev. Tom Wagner will officiate.
The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
