Cleveland woman charged with battery, child cruelty

CLEVELAND, Ga. — A Cleveland woman was arrested Sunday and charged with battery, child cruelty and criminal trespass following a domestic incident at 175 Cindy Cove Road.

In an incident report, Cory Seabolt said his wife Jessica Seabolt, 36, had moved out of their family home and into another residence, which the couple owns. Mr. Seabolt stated that at approximately 10 p.m. Jessica let herself into the home on Cindy Cove Road and began arguing with her husband’s roommate Jason Wright and Wright’s girlfriend Crystal Franklin.

Seabolt said his wife left the home but returned around midnight and continued the argument. According to witnesses, Wright and Franklin locked themselves into a bedroom, but Jessica Wright kicked the door in and attacked Franklin, pulling her hair and repeatedly punching her in the forehead.

The child cruelty charge stems from the fact that the Seabolt’s 11-year-old son witnessed the incident.

White County authorities arrested Seabolt at her residence without incident and transported her to the White County Detention Center.
