Caring Hands Coat Giveaway Set for Saturday

News

CLEVELAND, Ga. – Do you know someone who needs a coat to keep warm this winter but cannot afford to purchase one?

Caring Hands Ministries in Cleveland is holding its annual coat give away Saturday, Nov. 18,  from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Travis Chapel United Methodist Church on Hood Street. In an email, Caring Hands Ministries President Charles Fleming said, “Americans Helping Americans is sending new coats again this year so that we can help children, teens and adults in northeast Georgia who need a coat and can’t afford one.”

The feeling that you have helped someone who might otherwise have gone cold this winter should keep you warm throughout the winter.

“Children and teens all grow so there is a good chance that any child or teen getting a coat has one they have outgrown,” Fleming added. “We encourage people to bring their clean gently used outgrown coats and jackets to the give away to bless someone else.”
