White County Man Busted Selling Meth

CLEVELAND, Ga. – Deputies from the White County Sheriff’s Office and agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) arrested 59-year-old Jeffrey Forester today (July 5) and charged him with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

The investigation followed citizen complaints that Forrester was selling narcotics from his camper on Hwy. 254 behind Mossy Creek Grocery.

White County authorities found 5 grams of methamphetamine packaged to sell on Forester. The street value of the illegal narcotics is $550.

Forrester has been transported to the White County Detention Center.

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office is a multi-agency unit that consists of the  following Sheriff’s Offices: White County, Lumpkin County, Towns County, Banks County, Habersham County, Stephens County, Rabun County, Franklin County, the Cleveland Police Department, and the Lavonia Police Department, along with the Georgia National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, the Department of Public Safety, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
